[Words to Image. My take on what I see and imagine it to speak. A 15 minute creative piece of me. I hope you enjoy]
The most feared entity in the land was the dreadful Perplasia. Her cold heart inflicted torment and sadness upon every inhabitant within her realm. She grew to be fiercely jealous of the lovely Marian, in every way. She began to notice her happiness and positive outlook and decided to destroy it. It was something Perplasia could not possess, therefore it must go. She cast a mighty curse on the lovely Marian, causing her to sleep, and nothing more.
Rhiaton heard of this curse and remembered seeing the lovely Marian in passing. His heart went out to her.
"She was such a vibrant one. Such a shame for the curse of coma to befall upon her this way," he thought.
He decided to put pen to paper and write to her. He wrote about the day's events and the sunshine and his steed's name Arbor and quickly beckoned a servant.
"Take this writ and go to the lovely Marian. I want you to sit by her side and read it to her. Then return to me with report."
The servant obeyed. Every day Rhiaton wrote to her and sent it with servant to be read. The years passed by and the servant grew old. One day, he informed Rhiaton he could no longer travel and he would need to secure another to read to her. Rhiaton had no one. All of his men had been placed on detail some distance away. Fearful of a day missed for her, he opted to journey and read his words to her, himself. He believed even in coma, she could hear spoken word and find some peace in it.
Rhiaton made the journey and sat by her side while she slept. Today was the first time he laid eyes upon her since he began to write. She was even more beautiful than he remembered. He felt nervous but began to read. He read his thoughts to her, pausing occasionally to stare at her beauty. When he finished and his last word dropped from his lips, he added ... "I love you. Marian. I'm not sure how but I feel like I have grown to know you, all of your silent years."
His heart had melted.
Rhiaton rose to return to his land when he heard a voice. The first time it had ever brushed his ears. He turned to see open eyes, as beautiful and vibrant as the girl he remembered many years ago. He returned to her side and stared into her very being.
"I heard every word your servant read to me. But it was your voice that made me fight to return to the living."
The dreadful Perplasia was furious that something was more powerful than her curse. Something possessed more power than she could ever have ... the power of love.
