[Words to Image. I flip through my saved gallery of images and see which one grabs my attention. All have, thus their addition to this album, but today this one wants my words. I write and share. I hope you are entertained for the next few minutes. Enjoy]

And just like that, Perportia fell from the heavens. She was told to not fly close to the Andromeda galaxy. But curiosity pulled at her wings. She was warned of the dangers which could befall upon the inquiring mind and the effect they could materialize into. But she did not care. She was used to her own way of exploring.

"Mind yourself and be about your own business. This will serve you well," the elders would say.

But Perportia failed to adhere to the old rule of law. She flew anyway. She flew from the heavens and spotted a moving star, no wait, an asteroid ... or comet? Such great velocity ... but traveling in the opposite direction. She turned and tailed it, following at a distance, at first, but quickly grew weary of her distant view. She had to inspect closer.

'Mind your distance from things that may burn you. You will set your wings ablaze and fall to your death. Be about your own business. This will serve you well,' she heard the elders echoing in her thoughts.

"Perhaps, just this once" was all of the motivation she needed. Her very choice set her on a path she could not fully recover from. But she had to know.

She chased down the fiery object, mesmerized by its trail of glitter and amazement. The fireflies of burning coat tail made her wonder. Were they hot? Possible cold, almost frozen? Did they burn? Or did they tickle? She had never witnessed such a sight and simply could not let it stand.

'Be about your own.'

What did they know. Her flight was fast and she chased down that beautiful dirty snowball. She could now see but not feel. Hot or cold? She had to know. Perportia reached into something she should have never. She ignored the constant warnings and played the game her way, the wrong way. Her wings burst into flames and the fire quickly spread. She fought them but only fanned her problem. Perportia found herself unable to maintain flight and fell through the darkness. Without wings, she was reduced to flailing of her arms but to no avail. Her flight had ended. Her soaring days were over. Her mind replayed over and over their words of warnings.

But Perportia just could not listen.

She now floats through the universe, occasionally bumping into this or that, but has never fully recovered. She can no longer chase shiny objects or explore new wonders. Her wings are gone ... and she could have prevented it.

Perportia fell from glory.

[Accept this as you will. Life offers choices. Choices offer consequences. Consequences are sometimes permanent. Permanence isn't always something easy to live with. Choose wisely.
