[Words to Image. I see it, it sees me, we agree on a quick 15-minute story, and I share it with you]

Everybody has a song. One specific song that represents your life. It's not one that you purposely chose or even one from your desired genre of music, but you have one. One you will never know. But there is someone who does ... Death.

Every morning, Death sits at his piano and plays your song. He runs his cold boney fingers across the ivories, up through the highs and drops off in the lows. He marries both sides together as the song of your life unfolds and silently plays throughout the universe. He plays it melodically. And meticulously. Every key is pressed in perfect timing. Either individually or in unison with others. Your song plays every morning of every day of your life. Until it doesn't.

If at any time, Death falters and a note is muted, prematurely struck, or late to sound ... if a note plays sour, then the entire masterpiece is ruined. When this happens, your life is over. Death chose the responsibility of playing your song until he cannot. One slip of a finger, and your song has been tarnished. No one knows when Death will become weary and make a mistake. Not even Death knows this. As long as he is on point, you have nothing to fear. But Death plays for everyone and with many songs comes many opportunities for failure.

The best way to ensure that Death continues to play for you, masterfully, is to assist him. This is the privilege he allows us, but few ever take it because they do not realize it is an option. Help him play your keys, and live. Help him to stay in rhythm and never miss, and you live. Many people die before Death has failed with their song. They choose to sour their own notes and disrupt his timing. They die, alive. And when this happens, Death is forced to forgo their life's song. It will be played no more. And if you are dead-alive, you will remain this way until you are simply dead. Both are the opposite of life.

But you have privilege. Choose to take part in your own song. Choose the notes, choose the arrangements, choose to live while you indeed live.

Death chooses to sit at the piano of life and play your song. How he plays is up to you.

Even if you time on earth is short, do not die twice.

Live!
