[Words to Image. A random picture grabs my attention, I spend a quick 15-20 minutes creating a story to go with what I see, and then I post it. Fast and easy and simply for fun. I hope you enjoy my creativity.]
Billy was left unattended and all hell broke loose. They thought he would behave. They thought he wouldn't get into mischief. They were wrong.
The truck was barely past the edge of the driveway when Billy decided to go on a hunt. He looked high and low for something to do and found it. He tugged at Trouble and stomped but his efforts were useless.
"Come on, Billy! Use your head! You can do this!" he thought to himself.
But he was afraid to get into trouble. They would return, soon. But temptation was much too strong. Billy simply could not help himself. He stood against the kitchen wall and stared at Trouble.
"What about ...?"
He stood at the edge of the hallway and stared at Trouble.
"Maybe if I just ..."
He stood at the back door and questioned what would happen if he ...
Trouble stared him down. Taunting him. Daring him to give it a try. Billy was extremely frustrated. He looked at the clock on the wall and quickly convinced himself that he did in fact have enough time before they returned. He was determined. Trouble was not going to get the best of him, so he quickly devised a plan. He returned to every angle of the room to think it through before setting it into motion. One last look at the clock and he did it.
"It's now or never!" he screamed.
When the noises silenced and the commotion was over, he looked around the room and could not believe what he saw. He knew he was in a real jam, this time. He looked up at the clock and then back at Trouble before lowering his head. Panic set in. They were due to return any minute now and-
He heard the roar of the engine approaching. It was too late. Billy would soon be in trouble. He stared down at Trouble and waited for his own to walk through the door. He couldn't lie. It wouldn't work. He couldn't blame anyone else. There was no one else to point at. All he could do was wait and beg for mercy. Trouble looked up at him and laughed. He ran to the kitchen wall, but Trouble laughed at him there. He ran to the edge of the hallway, but Trouble was there, also, laughing at him. The back door gave him no comfort. Trouble laughed from there, as well.
The door swung open and Billy waited. Red faced and guilty, all he could do was cower. Trouble lost ... and Billy won. But it didn't feel like it, to Billy.
"So much for using your head," he thought.
Billy was in the most trouble of all time. But Billy won!
[This story is dedicated to all of the extremely stupid, bad ideas we've convinced ourselves to do, that has landed us in some form of trouble but later gave us awesome stories to share, time and time again. So, raise a glass and toast making it through. 😎]
