Words to Image. A random picture that creates a random story within me. Ironically, this fits the jist of my thoughts. I hope you enjoy]

When the morning dew was about a half hour away from dropping from the vines, Lilith and Azazel would meet in the clearing between the pines. It was the only forbidden place in the universe that was private, a tiny area that was damned and off limits to everyone. Even the creator paid no attention to this miniscule partial of desolate soil. No one ventured there so it was easily overlooked and forgotten, to the lover's advantage.

Azazel had been banished from his position, forever disgraced in the eyes of the elders. The cost of challenging love. Lilith had yet to cross that line, but her heart was inches away from it. Both were caught up in a whirlwind of apostasy. Two hearts born together in love, desperately clinging to one another, amidst the laws of prohibited connections. They each found beauty in the other, despite their forbidden sentence.

"Were we to be discovered, you would surely perish in a damnation more severe than my fate," Azazel pleaded.

Lilith concerned herself with only the present moment, the desires of her unwavering love for him. It was enough for her to risk everything.

"The death of love would be a far more excruciating prison to bear," she explained. "You fought so hard to make them believe in it again. Why stop now?"

Azazel lowered his head in sadness as a single tear fell to the earth and disappeared into the dust it created.

"Because no one cares. What is lost will remain lost. There's no use in fighting anymore."

All he could think of was believing in this moment. For him, the cause was lost.

"But I will continue to believe ... enough for both of us, if I have to."

Lilith took ahold of his darkened hand and clinched it tightly. She knew she had to be the strength that reignited his. She knew that all would be forever lost had she not. She still believed in what could be. If only she could get him to see what she did.

"Kiss me, my love. Kiss me and after you pull away from my lips, tell me what you feel isn't worth fighting for. It was born beautiful in the beginning and it still remains this. Just because no one can see the flame doesn't mean it does not burn. Kiss me and feel it."

Azazel leaned in and embraced his forbidden soul mate. Their lips met and a tiny spark ignited every gas in the universe. Anything that could burn, burned, instantly. The sum of all expanded in a moment of pure love. Everything yet to be created sprang to life and motion. Everything was born from love, again.

Azazel and Lilith perished that day but what they left behind became all that was good in space and time. The darkness that befell on light was removed and in its place the hope that had almost died found life again. The cosmos still carries pieces of their love from center out. An eternal expansion of the connection which was powerful enough to defy all law. Love trumped all. Love created all. Love still lives in all of us.

Help it expand.
