[Words to Image. My mental image inspired by a random visual one, pulled from my thoughts to share with you]
Donovan lived a difficult life. He was forced to be strong. Always relying on his determination to carry him through. The universe tested him, though. It sent many challenges his way. Obstacles and trials, heartache and letdown. But Donovan refused to allow it to ever break him. He protected the force inside of himself from ever being devastated, by anyone or anything. It wasn't easy but it was all he had. He could see the beauty in others, even when they chose to not see the beauty in him.
One day, he found himself under the foot of life. It decided to remind him of who was in charge. It cast everything at him. The heat burned away at his determination, hoping to leave it in a pile of ashes. The winds of woe tried to force him to his knees. The waves crashed down, attempting to drown his spirit. The chill fought to make him cold, bitter, like ice. The universe unleashed its entirety to destroy this modern-day biblical Job. But Donvan had the love for beauty within him. It was what mattered the most. He saw each item of beauty to its core and not just what the surface offered. There, it was pure. There, it was honest.
The devastation came and the universe raised its hands in victory. Donovan had been broken. Donovan was no more. And then, in the darkness of night, when the fog crept across the land, and silence was God ... Donovan reached for beauty. He saw a glimpse of red and it called out to him. His weary fingers had enough life left in them to embrace it. And that is what he did. Donovan persisted. He never gave up.
Donovan lived a difficult life. But he lived with love in his heart. And that was strong enough to never be broken.

[This is dedicated to everyone who hope and believe it's possible. May you find what you seek. Never give up]
