[Words to Image. A quick little write based on a random picture and my thoughts on what it says to me. Each one of these stories create themselves during a quick 15 minute breakfast. Quick, short, and imaginative]

Percy was an overthinker. For ever question, he would imagine a possible answer. Doing so would send him down a rabbit hole of possibilities. A plethora of external reactions followed by a mountain of internal ones to match. Once that rabbit hole was too deep, he would climb back out and imagine another possible answer. Down into this hole he would fall.

Percy would visit a thousand different scenarios for 1 single thing. He would entertain countless 'what ifs?' for every 1 'what is?' Percy found no rest in the way he was.

And then one day, he met another overthinker. She was beautiful and smart, elegant and positive. But she shared the same spelunking illness that he did. And now, their life together was tormented with thousands of possible 'what ifs?' to every tiny moment. His heart was now tied to her possible reactions, as was hers to his. Together, they lived in fear of one another. Their minds found no rest. Always worried about the outcome and overlooking the moment in which they shared. Percy's mind began to hurt. It scared him. It scared her. Her possible reactions scared them both. They felt as if they were on a crash course to destruction.

And then one day, Percy decided to open up about his struggles. He shared with her the way he felt and the way he fought within his own mind that steered his heart. She was amazed. Had he been this way with her all along and she had failed to notice? Had her own rabbit hole blinded her from his? Percy listened to her words as she mimicked his. A weight had been lifted from both of their shoulders. With a promise and kiss they swore to board up their rabbit holes with one another and live a life of 'what is?'

Percy chased his rabbit and almost caught it. But love prompted him to end the chase. Communication boarded up the deep. Percy's mind and heart calmed. In this, they lived happily ever after.
